KINDS OF MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
- Certificato Sportivo (competitive sport certificate). All athletes interested in participating in a competitive sport as regulated by Italian National Sport Federation, CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) and or an EPS, must provide a medical certificate that validates their level of physical fitness.
- Professional athletes can obtain their certificate from their official medical association with whom they are subscribed.
Non-professional athletes can take the visit from any sports medicine doctor.
We are very pleased that you have chosen to participate in the 2020 edition of the OCR European Championship.
Italian law requires that each athlete must present a medical certificate (you can download a sample) to confirm that they are fit to participate in competitive sports. To be valid for race day, the certificate must have been generated within the preceding 12 months and an example of the certificate can be found
In order to participate, you will need to provide your medical certificate in addition to your proof of qualification (a link to a web page or a document to be uploaded) that will be checked.
Once you have completed registration, you will receive an email confirming your registration only. Your documents and once they have been reviewed, you will receive a further email confirming that you are a verified competitor.
Please be aware that if you fail to provide the required certification, no refund will be provided.
According to Italian law and the regulations, a medical certificate is compulsory to partecipate to any sport competition in Italy. These obligations apply to every organizer of any kind of competition and all sports.
We recommend to all athletes to keep a copy of your medical certificate with you, you may need it for another competition.
NO MEDICAL CERTIFICATION MEANS NO RACE – NO EXCEPTIONS
