The OCR European Championships

are the independent Obstacle Course Racing Championships for Europe.

The European obstacle sports Federation (EOSF) is the umbrella organization for European obstacle sport. Founded on 8 april 2017 at Olbia, Sardegna, Italy.The European obstacle sports Federation has the national obstacle sports governing bodies as its members.. The European obstacle sports Federation is aimed at the promotion and development of OCR as a sport on European level. Each year, the European obstacle sports Federation, or one of its members, organizes the OCR European Championships.

Second edition

The first edition of the OCR European Championships has been held on June 12, 2016. And has been hosted by OCRA BeNeLux.

The European obstacle sports Federation is thrilled to announce that the second edition of the OCR European Championships will be held in Biddinghuizen, The Netherlands. The event will take place from 30 June till 2 July 2017, and these three days will include a short distance race, a standard distance race and a team race. The event will take place at the terrain of Flevonice, an organization well-known for their ability to host successful events. It is a vast terrain, which offers many possibilities to construct a highly challenging course. We are excited about the cooperation with Flevonice and look forward to creating a fantastic overall experience for all athletes

Development and promotion

These championships are setup for the development and promotion of our sport but also to support the European elite OCR racing talent whilst making the best use of and promoting top European race events.

The OCR European Championships will consist of several qualifying events around Europe culminating in one final event in june, in subsequent years we will rotate where the finals are held based on applications and eligibility..

Obstacle Course Racing is a running event where the participants encounter various obstacles along the way. Examples of obstacles are wooden walls, crawling under barbed wire, swim through ditches, jumping over fire and climbing on rope nets.

There will be cash prize money for the top 3 finishers in the elite wave. The exact prize pot is to be confirmed. Male and female athletes will receive the same prize money. We will announce the full amount and confirmed prize structure nearer the time.
