New starting times concept in Obstacle Course Racing at OCREC Qualifier

The OCR European Championship Qualifying event: The Great Escape in Belgium comes with a new concept in Obstacle racing.
The Individual time trial known from bicycle racing, makes its appearance in OCR.

Starting times are at equal intervals, in this case 10 seconds apart, the athlete with the fastest time is declared the winner.
Time trial racing (in French: contre la montre – literally “against the watch”, in Italian: tappa a cronometro “stopwatch stage”) is to our knowledge new to OCR.

Number 1 leaves at exactly 10 o’clock, while number 10 starts at 10:01:30 and number 100 will start at 10:16:30. So everybody has a fairly empty course

At The Great Escape competition wave there will be cash prize money.
Up to 360 participants can start at this competition wave and the more competitors enter, the higher the prize money will be.

The top 10 overall and the top 10 of each agegroup for both male and female will qualify for the OCR European Championships!
